Uniting Greater Bay Area Innovation & Translation to Unlock New Opportunities in CGT Industry | Qichengsheng Signed as Key Introduced Project at 2026 Zhuhai-Hong Kong-Macao Biomedical Industry Innovation & Development Conference
On April 24, 2026, the Zhuhai-Hong
Kong-Macao Biomedical Industry Innovation & Development Conference, themed
Pooling Greater Bay Area Biomedical Mindsets, Galvanizing Jinwan’s Innovative Growth, grandly opened in Jinwan District, Zhuhai. The
event gathered nearly 200 industry representatives, including members of the
Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, competent
authorities from Zhuhai, Hong Kong and Macao, research institutes affiliated
with Hong Kong and Macao universities, leading pharmaceutical enterprises,
tertiary public hospitals and industrial investment institutions.
Three landmark outcomes were unveiled at
the conference: the 30-Minute Cross-Border Biomedical Research Translation
Corridor covering Macao, Hengqin and Jinwan, the first batch list of 49
cross-border (Macao) biomedical translation projects, and the 2026 first batch
list of 10 biomedical application scenario demands released by Jinwan District.
A centralized signing ceremony for Jinwan’s key newly
introduced biomedical projects of 2026 was held during the session.
As a benchmark Cell and Gene Therapy (CGT)
project in the Greater Bay Area, the Zhuhai Industrialization Base Project of
Beijing Qichengsheng Bio completed official signing and site entry on-site,
making the company a flagship CGT enterprise prioritized for introduction at
this conference.
The batch of signed projects focuses on
cutting-edge tracks including cell and gene therapy, mRNA innovative drugs and
high-end medical devices, representing a core initiative for Jinwan District to
build a closed-loop cross-border biomedical industrial ecosystem featuring
Macao R&D, Hengqin Translation, Jinwan Manufacturing.
Supported by a full-chain support system
launched at the conference—including tailored
cross-border translation policies, a dedicated CGT Innovation Center, open
clinical scenarios in public hospitals and special industrial funds—the Qichengsheng project will settle in Zhuhai International Health
Port. The company will fully deploy GMP-grade industrialization bases for mRNA
nucleic acid modification, lipid nanoparticle (LNP) delivery and autologous DC
